I have an iPod mini, i was having problems with its battery life and so sent it to get repaired. It worked better than it was for a while but is now dying immediately after i have charged it completely (for at least 8 hours). Problem is my warranty has just run out, can i take it back on the grounds that it wasn't fixed last time when it was still in warranty?

I dont hold much hope for you. An article was written about Apple in the Gardian the other week. They said that even if the iPod was out of warrenty for 1 day they would not repair it as they see the iPod as a throw away commodity.

Even if it was repaired and then went wrong they tell you to get lost....

Thats the reason I wont buy one....

BAD service!!

iPods are notorious for having poor battery life. What they need to do is stop hardwiring it into a non-user-servicable case. There's no reason why they don't have a removable rechargable battery inside a regular battery compartment that everyone can replace for $20 or $30 ...

Just another reason why I won't buy an iPod.

Phone the manufacturer direct - my digital camera broke about 4 weeks out of warranty and it was a gift so I didn't even have a receipt so i contacted Samsung and they fixed it for free - twice... If Samsung can do it why can't Apple
