The cards you require are not official to the game and are used as a rough guide to the umpires only. A lot of umpires I know just use a small note pad to make note of over limits etc... I do know you can buy a ball and over counter from any good cricket shop

Umpires do not complete scorecards. Scores complete scorecards, umpires umpire. The titles help if you are unsure.

The umpires job is to decide whether an delivery is legal, a shot is legal, whether a wicket is taken, and how many runs are scored, how many balls have been delivered etc.. On top of this responsibility they do not keep scorecard.

To back this up, when have you ever seen an umpire drop the coins, get out a pen and score book and mark up the batting and bowling stats? Never. They signal scores, but never keep their own running totals.

Scorers keep score, Umpires Umpire.

Actually, the umpires don't keep the score in that way..that is done by the two official scorers at every match (usually one from each team). The umpires signals are directed specifically at the scorers, and are not meant to be for the crowd's information.

But proper scoring books should be easily available from any cricket goods supplier.

I don't think card system can be adopted in cricket. In games like football, players often touch each other, which sometimes gets very nasty and can result into physical fight and serious injuries. Verbal comment passing is still allowable in football and everyone is entitled to pass comments. But in game of cricket physical touch is rare, I think being cricket fans we are not habitual to see players talking with so much heat. Removing players from running cricket match may make the whole match unstable, which would be harsh and not feasible in my opinion TJ. In my opinion deducting match fees is a ineffective punishment for cricketers who are earning millions. A player should be banned for one-two next matches for stretching the limits be it in domestic tournament or international matches, which can be done my match referee after the end of match. Umpire should play active role in control of cricketers on the field. If I go in deep roots, sledging is the main cause of most of the verbal fights in cricket, if one sledges and seconds keeps quiet than time passes nicely, but when two cricketers having similar kind of poor temperament clashes then situation gets poor. So sledging should be banned in international cricket but our non-subcontinent mates don't see anything bad in sledging. I don't think that cricket can be turned into gentleman's game by allowing sledging.

you mean scorecards at the end of day. You cannot acquire these from anywhere, however you can make your own. Also, if you want scorecards in your mail, join the yahoo! group named street cricket to get them daily, and other latest news on cricket as well as weekly polls.
