The advice on the pamphlet states only 1 dose in a 24 hour period, but I know people who claim that they regularly take 25 mgs twice a day.

25mg is the minimum dosage. It also comes in 50mg and 100mpg dosages (all are the same price per tablet by the way). Since you are on the low dosage, I can't see much harm in taking a couple of them at different times in the day once in a while if you need them and don't get any extra side effects. Best to see your doctor to be sure though!

If you have Viagra, hopefully it was physician prescribed. If so, ask your doctor! Everyone is different therefore, the mg will vary from person to person.
