Printing press, hands down. I know it's a common answer, but you can't deny its importance. The fast production of books enhanced our educational systems and the overall spreading of knowledge in ways we can never really measure. We would likely be centuries behind in our technological, medical, and scientific advances if it had not been invented.

The most important one to me is the car, for obvious reasons.

I think that technology has made life more convinient, not necessarily better. Too much technology can make things too noisy and busy. There's no denying it's made things easier, but at the same time devices like cell phone ensure that your company can get in touch with you all the time. Laptops enable you to take your work with you wherever you go. This sounds great, but it creates more work and stress for the average person.

Dear pal,
Whoever has asked this question , I am sure you had asked about the most significant scientificdiscovery/invetion.Well! my answer to this is though a bit unexpected , but logical enough. My answer is a PEN.It was only because of this that Shakespeare could jot dwn his thoughts. It was only because of a pen that Einstien could pass on the Theory of relativity and it was this pen again which allowed Pascal to make handouts for the invention of computer. But sadly the person who made such agreat invention is never quite remembered!!
