I had a hysterectomy and an ovary removed. Combined it took me about 3 months. With just the ovary, I doubt it will be anything near that long, especially if it's done laparoscopically. That is just a very small incision that usually heals very quickly if no other medical conditions like diabetes is related. I was up and walking in about 2 days. So, I doubt it will take you very long at all. You could contact your doc and ask him/her. They can give you further details on what you can expect.

2-7 days if it is done by arthroscopic surgery, and removal. This is where the doctor uses a small camera, "vent hole" for gas inflation, and pulls the ovary out via the incision.

If on the other hand more traditional surgery is used it may take more than 7-10 days. It will depend on your age, health status, and of course doctors orders.

Good luck.
