hi ive been lifting weights recently at the weight of 10 kg's on each arm, and doing 300 bicep curls, and i do it every two days. do you think its possible that it could stunt my growth?. as right now i am 19, and approximately 175 cm tall which is around 5ft 9, but i wanna be taller but i am worried that my addiction to lifting weights could stop that from happening, do you think that it is possible?

I'm sorry I have to answer your question in the form of a wise crack it may not be funny only to me only if the weight was dropped on you like a Bugs Bunny or wyle e coyote cartoon.but you lifting weights will make you wider which will give the illusion that your short.but from what you also told me in reguards to your routine I would increase the weight and decrease the reps. If you want size and streigth but if your looking for toning then I would go with reps of no higher then 12-15 and go for a lighter weights.

No you will not stunt your growth lifting weights. Your height is genetically determined and your growth plates as long as they are not damaged will continue to add height to you until you reach maturity. For males this is around 20. So you probably have just about finished growing, since you are 19.

ok man dontworry what you are doing is called body building not weight lifting weight lifting is the scene of act u see on tv of ppl carrying a bar of very high weights over their heads for few seconds
anyways u r 19 so you dont really have much left to grow really and body building does not stop or prevent body growth but enhances it and what stops body growth in length is carrying very heavy weights over ur head and making them stress on ur spinalchord for some long period of time and at a younge age and also the chronic use of excessive amount of testosterone hormone without the supervision of a doctor
so chill and go work out

Weight lifting does not prevent you from growing tall.
