if the pope understands what is written in the bible then why is he teaching us to kneel before GRAVEN images if HE KNOWS GOD ABHORS that. isnt our God a jealous God? Why we christians bow down to these idols which we arent sure if the're really the likeness of Jesus, Mary.. OR whoever.
my professor said POPE is the Devil that mislead mankind. he is using the Scripture to lead us to the wrong way.
think about this Christians if you really fear God you SHOULD DO WHAT God's SAYS AND NOT WHAT POPE'S

What you ask is a very interesting question but it has been resolved some centuries ago.
Your question was a really big debate on the 8th and 9th century AC. Especially in the Byzantine empire it ended up being something like a civil war. (Please note that the Great Schism took part in the 11th century).
The leaders of the one Christian Church Worldwide (at least then) decided that when you kneel before images and pictures you pay your respect to the person that is symbolized and not the picture itself and its material.
To sum up. Yes the bible says something that contradicts our practices but in the First (if I am not wrong) Ecumenical Synods the Fathers of the Church concluded that it is ok to have images and sculptures.

Pope has nothing to do with Christianity. He is continuation of the Roman Kingdom and its Emperors. You must have noticed that the last time when they elected the new Pope. What all rituals that without any Biblical base were performed! So listen to what God says and not the Pope.

The Pope is only the leader of the catholic religion - not their spokesmodel - people still have to think for themselves. The pope says it's okay to do .... Or not to do.... who is the Pope but a mortal man to speak for god? Think about that too, and realize that the Vatican is one of the richest countries in the world that employs people and they have a payroll and a post office and everything. Nobody who ever ran a post office told me what to do!

Catholics are dumb it is a fake religion used for money. The only savior is Jesus Christ, not someone who sins as much as me and forgives after ive just killed someone a minute ago by saying a simple prayer i dont care about. Understand what im saying?
