At home in my heart
Blue sky high bright
Riding on my bike
May we fly a kite?

Oh, come and hold me tight...

I think it is very sweet. It demonstrates the innocence and free spirit of a young person. I like it alot. It is a very short poem, yet I keep reading it. It makes me happy. Thank you, friend.

Poems don't have to rhyme. But they do have to be in good form . Your forms alittle off/But its a nice peom anyways.I give it a 6.With 5 being average.

No offence but it sounds like something a child would write. The words don't make any sense. But if it makes sense to you and means something then it does sound nice.

interesting poem....poems don't have to rhyme but opposite lines should or every third line...enough to complete a thought.

every poem should have a line, where a thought is conveyed about a time, when we are young and brave and true, I know I have and so can you.

see?

potholes in my lawn
where have all the gophers gone?

they dig in the night
and brought such blight

to my pastures of green
now they hide, not seen

go go gopher
you've gone away

but I will get your fuzzy lil' azz...

one day

or may we sit by a lake?

come walk wit me hun...
let me show you what I have found...
maybe we could sit on the dock?....
cool our feet in the water.

Maybe we could laugh; or talk;

A word is dead when said some say.....

"I" say?

It just began to live; "THAT DAY."

It's light and quick, just like summer. I like the use of assonance.
