If you're asking why America protects Israel (hard to tell if that's your question), then it's due to the fact that America had a large hand in creating Israel. All of those current issues over there? The US helped cause those. Israel was created from little chunks of the Middle East. The US was a major factor in procuring those chunks to create a country (which came to be called Israel). Now, Israel and America are very "close" politically.

America does not need Israel's protection. Is that whay you mean?
Israel need's America's protection and I think America should help protect Israel ONLY IF Israel meets a series of strictly crafted goals and deadlines for developing real peace in the area and independence for Palestine. For starters, I would insist on going back to the boundaries of the 1960s. All the other countries int he area should be held to the same standard. Why can't we do this?

There's an Italian joke about the horsefly sitting on the horse's head, who thinks to herself smugly how she's showing the horse which way to trot.
I'll let you all figure out who's the horse in the question above.

Don't be afraid to use the spell check feature, especially for those big SAT words... Israel and America are allies, that's why.
