A professional football player makes a standard of living that will never be equaled by a professor.
And, it's a forgone conclusion that a pro ball player has a four year college education.
A pro ball player can always become a teacher, a professor, or a professional speaker when he gets too old to play...
a professor will never change careers and play pro ball.
Take the ball player - free games, free clothes, good seats ..

I would prefer to marry the one I love, who loves me the same. The one who is committed to me.
If you are looking for the man who will make YOU look more impressive in the eyes of others, than you need to look inside yourself and learn to make yourself a better person. Your husband's career path shouldn't be how you choose who you would marry, but the whole package.
(and if you are looking at 2 men who have the potential for the following career paths... thing about the odds with which it takes to become a professional athlete. And if you are hoping for a man to be rich and take care of you...that's what we call a gold digger. Why don't you focus on your OWN career)

Of course... I'd go for the BRAINS not the JOCK.
I could go into GROSS reasons why... but if you're looking for a LONG TERM relationship... it's more important to know how to reason your way to a solution, rather then knowing how to TACKLE someone.
