Students who are still studying always want to get a job asap, always think they are done with studying. and then when they graduate and have a job, whether is the right job for them or not, most of them miss the school time and want to go back to study. Why is it so? Is it true that we only know the value of sth when its gone?

I don't think they really know what they're doing. They study 'coz their parents told them to do so. Then they look for job 'coz everyone does that, then they study more becoz they couldn't find any job. Simple. This happens to anyone who doesn't know what they're doing, not just young students.

You are right when you say that stopping studying without a plan is a missed opportunity - you have to chalk it off to inexperience...
We should encourage young students to learn and study for the pleasure of learning, not only to gain a breadwinning activity, so that they can retire and play golf... Learning can and should be a lifetime joy...

In some situation, stopping studying for working can be a valuable approach. Sometimes to learn more one need to know what you are learning for, and what you are still missing.
WIth a bit of maturity and purpose one can get a much better and faster education... As long as the interim job is planned properly, it can be an enrichment.

Well , yeah...its human nature... U never really realize the value of sth until its gone..So when students get jobs , and start to realize its not that 'cool' , they start missing skool and the ol' days...when life was ezier..

We always see going to work as the "next step" after schooling. So naturally, we want to prove our worth and get to the next step as soon as possible. But after getting there, we realised the only way to get to the next step of getting promotions and more pay is to study more, so we end up going backwards again.

The grass is always greener on the other side. When you're studying, you think about the money you could be making and when you're working, you think about the good (and laid back) times you had studying.
