The Skull and Bones Society is a fraternal organization of seniors at Yale University. It's one of the most secretive organizations in America, but we do have a little information about it.

The society is also a corporate entity under the name of the Russell Trust Association. It owns Deer Island, a small island between the US and Canada. As of 1999, Russell Trust Association had assets of over four million dollars.

Unlike many secret societies, Skull and Bones accepts women, and has since 1992.

The membership of Skull and Bones was published in Yale publications every year from 1833 to 1985. After that, the society quit publishing its roster, to discourage further publicity.

President Bush and John Kerry have acknowledged their membership, as well as George H. W. Bush. It has been speculated that Bill Clinton was a member, but this is unlikely. The society only recruits undergraduate seniors. Clinton attended Yale Law School after completing his undergraduate degree at Georgetown and studying at Oxford.
