79,854 were built. The Camaro RS coupe came standard with a 3.1-liter V6. A 5.0-liter V8 was base engine in the RS convertible and both Z28 models.

being a mechanic, I think that comsumer reports is anti american car, and the 3.1 liter is on of the most reliable engines made. The 5.0 is not far behind.
thats probably why they sold 70,000+

Very unreliable. Check Consumer reports. Black circles all around. Avoid it like the plague. Firebird same thing.
