There are 3 kinds of blood vessels
Arteries- Carry oxygenated blood from heart to different parts of the body. They are deep seated and have thin walls. One exception is the Pulmonary artery, which brings deoxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.

Veins- Carry deoxygenated blood from different parts of the body to the heart for oxygenation. They are superficial ( near the surface of the skin) and are thick- walled. Exception- Pulmonary Vein which takes oxygenated blood to the lungs from the heart.

Capillaries- Thin blood vessels which are responsible for taking blood to every cell of the body. They have very thin walls, through which oxygen is given to the cell and carbon dioxide is absorbed.
They are found in in the junction of arteries and veins.

Oxygenated blood is the blood which carries oxygen.
Deoxygenated blood is devoid of Oxygen and contains Carbon dioxide.
