Lice can be troublesome and difficult to manage. Young children who share close areas such as pillows, bedding, lying on rugs, headphones, or hats, headbands, and brushes and combs can easily become infested. The over the counter products work well if used as directed and re-treated after the initial application. An older method of treatment which usually was prescribed at the Dr.'s office, was shampoo containing the inscecticide, Lindane. This should not be a treatment of choice because this medication is absorbed through the skin and can be toxic to the person receiving treatment.
In order to completely rid yourself of infestation, you must simultaneously shampoo your hair with a newer and effective over the counter product, an treat your environment. This inclues possibly spraying your matress, or at least covering it completely in plastic for four to six weeks, washing and drying on high heat all clothing and bed linens and pillows that were used during the infestation. Carpets and cloth furniture nee to be sprayed and children's stuffed animals that were played with during the infestation should be either dried in the drier or if unable to do this, sealed in a plastic bag for 4 to 6 weeks.
Most important in this timely, tedious, and expensive process is the use of the "lice comb" that is included in the medicated shampoo kit. Nits are very difficult to remove from the hair shaft, as they cling tightly. The best way to find them is to put the infested person in brightly lit area, or perhaps in the sunshine on a sunny day. The nits (eggs) gleam in the light and appear transluscent. In order to differentiate them from dandruff, you can take the hair shaft between your finger and thumb and using your fingernail, comb down the shaft of hair. If it clings, it is most likely a nit. If it easily is removed, it is dandruff or other material. Some lice treatments now offer an egg softening lotion. This works moderately well, but I have found it just as effective to use the fine-toothed comb and a cup of rubbing alcohol to clean the comb in between contact with the scalp. Cleaning the comb each time prevents re-infestation and the alcohol kills the nits. Apple cider vinegar also works as a nit loosener, if you still have problems. After the initial treatment and combing, a re-application should be done for any nits that got away. The treatment will list the time table for you to use in re-treating without harmful effects. Just remember that this shampoo does contain insecticide and therefore should be used carefully.
Lice are a terrific problem, but can be effectively eliminated. It takes a great deal of patience. I wish you luck!

You got most of the answers, try Mediker, Paraffin mixed with coconut oil also works fine, no need to add petrol, but that can hurt your hair texture. If you are a guy try shaving off your head or get crew cut done, oil it well twice a week and shampoo follow with a conditioner. If all this doesn't work consult a dermatologist.

You must wash your hair atleast twice a week. In case you have short hair you can also wash them on the days when you sweat a lot due to summer heat or humidity. You must tie your hair only after they are thoroughly dry. After a wash use a towel to wipe your scalp and strands of hair. Wash you hair with medicare shampoo for 4 weeks atleast. Prior to the use of shampoo, you can oil your hair for few hours or for one day and use special comb to remove head lice. Later use medicare shampoo as given in the instruction. It works.
