which memory brand should i get for my laptop fujitsu n5010?

k-byte, patriot, kingston, corsair, or muskin?

and is it ok to mix that with another brand of memory with just the diff of brand and size? same speed everything just micron technology and 256mb.

and also i noticed that my laptop says i can put pc2700 ddr333 in there which the freq is 133 or 166 and its running on 166 2.5-3-3-7 right now... well my laptop says on cpuid that its 200 fsb and 800 bus speed...so shouldnt i be able to put a pc3200 ddr400? cause wouldnt that read 200mhz for the freq on cpuid?

thank you

Kingston or Corsair but others would do the job too, since it`s an laptop (so OC chances are low) other brands are good to-it`s OK to mix brand`s(it`s the name of an company-memory is still a memory),Yes you should be able to put 3200 ddr,but bios will automaticly synhronize both ram modules so they work the same frequency as the lower module (in your case 3200 would work as 2700-and it will not show on CpuID as 200 it`ll say it has capabilities of working as 3200 but operating frequency will be 166 or (333) pc2700) if you want your ram to use full FSB than you should change the other module (ram) and by 2 modules of 3200-but another problem presists is that the 400 MHz memory module for laptops(in desktops is not the case) is declared as DDR2 so there is possibility that the 3200 module won`t fit in your laptop...see how many PIN`s the module has, first (or leight of the module should be the same)

Any brand that offers a lifetime warranty on their product. Yes you can mix brand named memory. As long as the memory is the proper type for your computer size and speed can be mixed, like you can put a 512 MB DDR400 PC3200 with a 128MB DDR 400 PC2100. If your mobo takes up to DDR400 PC3200 then anything less that that will work, mobo memory is "downward compatible".

I have used PC3200 on Fujitsu notebooks before and they all seem to work fine, it simply reduce the speed to match the FSB automatically.

Personally I find Kingstone and Cosair a lot more reliable that most other brands.

Corsair. Kingston makes decent stuff, and it's cheap, but you'll run into problems with it. Oh, and get a higher frequency than 266mhz. That's pitiful, to put it blandly. 800mhz is the standard for people, it will get much better performance than 266 without much of a price raise.
