Download the attachments to your desktop and put them into a Zip file as you save them--this will help compress them so that you will be able to fit them onto a CD.

My personal recommendation: Get a Gmail account. I can send you an invitation to use Gmail if you'd like. E-mail me at my user ID and I can send you an invitation from my Gmail account. Gmail offers more than 2.7GB of space for free.

Hi
You can do two things: Open an account in Gmail (Via invitation) who has quite a huge space and forward all your important mails to tht account. then delete these mails from here. this way your mails will always be available to you online instead of writing it on a cd or disc.

when you forward the mail, attachement is also forwarded.

secondly, you can dettach the attachments from these mails into a folder and then delete these mails.

You can use Outlook or Outlook Express (or any other email program) to download your emails using an additional program called YPops!.

I use YPops! and it's great. You don't need Yahoo! mail plus (which gives POP3 access) to use this program. You can tell it to download messages from a specific folder as well, so you won't need to move the messages to your Inbox folder to download them. You can also leave all the messages on the server if you like and download for a backup.

It's also freeware.

How are we meant to regulate our very own digital mail with the recent Yahoo? there is not any the place to delete by picking ALL or little containers next to the mail. it is totally complicated. most of the mail isn't worth examining and that i've got already switched to gmail. Oh properly, see you later Yahoo, it is been nice even even though it is totally screwed up now.

wow how did u manage to fill 1gb.
u can go to regular yahoo mail(not beta), there u can see all ur attachments or images(look at the bottom of left side bar) and then save them on briefcase.yahoo.com.
this is assuming that total size of ur folder is not exceeding 30mb.
this way u will not have to download and then upload them.
but if it is above 30mb, better mail them to some other id

Download all your attachments to a folder in your documents. You can then safely delete the email. You can burn your attachments to a disk or put them on a flash drive for backup, as well as keeping them on your harddrive.
