Because an already successful formula is less risk that an untried one. The promise of a greater return is more guaranteed. It's the same here in the US. We keep stealing TV show ideas from the UK. The problem here is that we suck at remaking the shows and if we just showed the UK version, we'd all be better off.

Why souldn't it be happening.
Inspiration from international shows and traditional touch to things give us some special mixes(ans some of them are great too!)
But,purely Indian TV shows don't do bad either(actually,they do better)
So,while the fusion mixes is the trend with the industry,the local mixes are real good too(remember 'khichdi'?)

Note:The amount of tickling the International comedies produce are what we get in the part before first advertisement break of an indian comedy show.What do you think?
