I think that for a while most women wore thongs. That seems to be dying out since I'm starting to notice more and more panty lines on girl's butts. Call me crazy, but I find panty lines, especially going up the crack panty lines, extremely sexy! So for the most part, I think that regular panties are more common now.

all my friends and I normally wear bikini. None of us like bum floss. On the rare occasion I wear something with bad VPL (I am normally careful not to choose these sort of clothes) I have either gone with the VPL or worn nothing rather than wear a thong. Nothing can be fun if the skirt is long enough and not see thru. But it can also be scary.

I hate thongs so if I had to choose one of the two styles you have chosen I would pick bikini, but I only wear briefs or hi cut briefs.
