Fear is a mix! Both physiological and emotional. It's known as the fight/flight reaction. Your brain registers the possibility of an attack and reacts by provoking a stress reaction, adrenaline gets released faster than it should, enabling your heart to beat faster, lungs to pump faster to produce more oxygen, your muscles warm up, your pupils dilate preparing your body to either fly from danger or fight the source of attack (Whether real or unreal).
