how will you know if a person deliberately gave you fake money?

like for example somebody gave you fake money and you caught him but he says he did not know its a fake...how will you know if he's innocent or not?

You can know if the person is innocent or not, but you can contact the police department in your area by law anyone who knows that they have fake money can call the cops on the person that gave them the bill even if the person is innocent example if you own a business and your at the cash box and your handed a bill if you have one of those pens you mark the bill and if the color of the pen turns black you pick up the phone and call the cops, if you don't you hold it up to the light to see if there is a certain strip of paper imbedded in the bill you pick up the phone and call the cops, if it's been a while since the person gave that bill to you cut it up and dipose of it because if you just throw it away and some innocent person finds it and try's to buy something with it and the store calls the cops they get arrested, but the newer bills with all it's fancy glitter and color don't work with the pens so any fancy new bill you get with the color changing numbers will turn black when the pen touches the paper so just hold it up to the light to see if there is a strip of tape imbedded in the bill.
