I love my boyfriend to bits, and he is not a wimp, he's a big strong farmer bloke, but lord help us if he gets anything ranging from flu, through to tummy ache, right through to sunburn.
He moans and mopes about like a baby! As we are together all the time, we tend to get illnesses such as colds etc.. at the same time, and I have to just get on with life, but he really goes under, so I end up feeling ill AND looking after him too!! Sometimes I just want to say - Hey, stop moaning - I'm ill here too!
I've heard of man-flu.... Does anyone know why it can turn a big strong man into a baby??

In my experience, men whinge, ***** and moan if they get a paper cut. But if they chop their arm off with a chainsaw it is just a little cut.
Basically we have different thresholds of pain. To have the flu turns the male into a child who believes they are sick and the whole household has to revolve around them until they get better.
Women are used to doing 5 things at once, so we just get on with it.

Hey...flu is influenza..it is just the flu that we have known before..nothing more...everyone is unique...everyone has unique responses to this flu...it's a matter of pathophysiology, immune system, and others..... FYI: Bird FLu is worse dear, it can kill and it is highly communicable...so keep taking those flu tablets to minimize the symptoms if not totally eradicate them. /PEACE
