My brother is 16 years old. My father kicked him out of the house because of his new wife and her outlandish demands. (The father's new wife)

I am 20 years old and have been in the same situation before for the same reason. My father kicked me out of the house at 16 and I spent 9 months being lost in the "system".

I currently am taking care of my younger brother financially and he is living with my roommate and I. How can I attain legal custody of him and have my father court-ordered to pay some sort of child support? I love my brother more than anything in this world, but I just don't have the means to financially support him right now.

I have noticed a huge drop in his grades at school and his overall attiitude towards his fellow human being. I am ready to get him in a permanent and stable environment so that he can be successful and happy.

PLEASE HELP!!

Going through a similar situation with my grandson right now. He is a baby, but is still similar. You will NEED a lawyer to get legal custody and possibly support. Call attorneys that specifically handle Probate cases. You may even get a free consultation, I did. Good luck.

I think the best way is to get a lawyer and go to court.
