why chemist must care with the earth?

"Green chemistry" or "doing chemistry while caring for the earth" is very important considering the fact one "bad" chemical reaction can have drastic effect for a very long time. Chemical spills and improper usage of chemistry any other way can negatively alter our life as well as things we depend on for resources, i.e plants and animal. Just like anybody else, chemists depend on the environment or "earth" for resources. Even most of chemicals come from natural sources such as plants. So, chemists must care about the environment if they want to keep doing chemistry. As like anybody else, chemists are human and they should take care of the place where they live.
