Americans have been using cheap Mexican labor for years, and now they have the audacity to put up such a fuss about immigration issues. Can you say "hypocracy"?

Americans can pick their own tomatoes, they cannot however pick them for $3.00 an hour like the illegals because we choose not to live 18 to a one bedroom apartment.

Because the US government, has allowed corporate farms to force American family farms out of business. After world war two, there was a brief period where family farms flourished, but for the most part, it has been get big, or get out. These corporate farms are subsidized, by tax dollars.
I left my job, on a dairy farm three years ago. I was replaced buy a Mexican family. While that corporate farmer has received over $150,000/year from the Government (reported by local newspapers), he has sent his daughters to Europe, built a four car garage, and has been to Las Vegas several times.
The money that farmers get for their produce, has not risen one red cent since world war two. Prices are controlled, to keep the country at peace.
I know thousands of American farm families, that have been forced out of business by corrupt policies, such as supply side economics. Anyone that believes that giving all the money to a few fat cats, will benefit everybody else needs to learn Spanish.
With all sincerity, I welcome all Latin immigrants. And hope that they take the next step, and build their labor unions. They're going to need them.

We can, and soon will with mechanization. A lot of farms are going to robotic mechanization for their produce. You can write off tractor expenses easier than Illegal labor.

2% of Mexicans work the field. 29% are on welfare. They take jobs in refineries , contruction and light industry.
