Yes. The abortion pill (commonly known as RU-486) works against a pregnancy hormone called progesterone. Serendipity's post is not correct. Pregnancy begins at fertilization, not at implantation. By the time the baby implants in the womb, he or she is 7-10 days old. Just three weeks after fertilization, the child's heart is already beating.

Of course they do, otherwise they wouldn't work. If you mean, "Do they have long term effects on the womb?" Then the answer is research hasn't shown any so far.

No they don't. They are not actually inducing abortion, they hormonally prevent conception and implantation. therefor there is no traumatic effects, as can result from actual abortion. There are no after effects, fortunately.
