Sometimes I will try to go to yahoo.com and I will get a dialog box that says "www.yahoo.com cannot be found. Please check the name and try again."

WTF is up with that? Does anyone else get that message when trying to access Yahoo? Does anyone know why it happens? I doubt it's my browser because it happens with both Mozilla and Internet Explorer. It's really annoying, especially now that I'm addicted to Yahoo! Answers.

I forgot to add that while I cannot access Yahoo! I am able to access other sites - google, imdb, myspace, homestarrunner... so how could it just be my ISP and my Internet being slow when other pages load just fine?

it's 'server overload.'

wait awhile and get back on-normally works fine.

usually that error message would pop up if you enter the web address incorrectly but if you have entered the address correctly then try to browse different sites ...if you can open or browse different website then it's not an ISP problem since you are connected and can browse to the internet...this might be that yahoo is undergoing some technical problems or they are doing some system enhancement with their servers...try also to check your browser settings....if you are using an ie browser you can check it in your internet options...you need to click on tools located way top of your browser then internet options ... deleting temporary internet files or clearing some history would also help but if ever you cant browse any website then you need to call your ISP =)
