Okay watch out about how much Tylenol you are taking Excedrin's have Tylenol in them too ( generic acetaminophen) too much can really hurt your liver only 4,000mg a day is suggested. Excedrin es have aspirin in them too so it'll make you bleed more, try Motrin or Advil (ibuprofen) it would help much better. Warm packs or soaks ina bath would help. Silly tip that actually helped me wear warm soaks it's supposed to help too. Also if your cramps are really bad or you are having changes in your cycle you should go to a OB\GYN and get checked out. There may be other reasons you are hurting so bad and perhaps they could give you meds to prevent the pain. Tip Midol also has acetaminophen or Tylenol in it be careful with how much you take. And eat with Motrin or any NSAID to protect your stomach Hope you feel better

I can relate to you I get bed ridden when I get my period at first I always have the worst cramps for the first day but you could take midol and don't take more than 2 pain pills a day its not good for you, it can give you an ulcer and it kills your liver! you can exercise even though you wouldn't feel up to it and you can put a hot pack on your cramps, and theres a stretching thing you can do, all you have to do it bend your leg up to your chest and lay on your knee and leg on a bed and stay like that for 10 minutes on each leg and then relax, or sometime if my cramps are really bad i will take a nap and when you wake up there usually gone!! and if your on birth control it will help too!

A heating compress will help to relieve the cramping. Exercise can also help with cramps. Other than that, you should try Midol next time. I have found it to be better for relieving cramps than Tylenol.

there's an aromatherapy oil called clarey sage oil that is a deep muscle relaxant mix a few drops with a carrier oil such as almond oil or evening primrose oil, which is expensive, so evening primrose oil capsules might be cheaper, just break them open and mix with clarey sage oil and massage into the area above your pubic area. be careful with aromatherapy oils, they're potent, read up on it a bit first. they can be a good alternative to medicine, I suffer from bad period pains and I found that the various tablets I took would work for a few months then I'd build up an immunity to them. aromatherapy is a natural way to deal with it. exercise also helps, you could try heat patches, you know the sticky ones that heat up when you open them? they help on the lower back and above you pubic area. I hope this might help.

Go on the contraceptive pill. I have been on it for years and I can honestly say that it is the best form of period pain prevention. It really does work. I am not saying the pain goes away completely, but it certainly won't hurt as much as it does now.

You could just use a heating pad. Paining too much is not a good sign . If this happens to you every time you are on period, then you should consult a doctor.

I take 2 naprogesic (naproxen sodium 275mg) these are the only thing that works for me. Other than that I could suggest a hot water bottle or heat wheat bag on your stomach, and lie down as much as possible. I know it's terrible.

I use Ibuprofen (800 milligrams) I sometimes need to take a double dose. Ibuprofen is the only over the counter pain medication that works for me. If you know anyone with lortabs, ask them for one, they do wonders. Also try a Xanex (I'm not sure on the spelling)

Naproxin...such as "Aleve" is best for cramps. Also try using a heat pad.You may want to check with your doc. There could be a cyst on your ovary. Also drink plenty of water. An old wives tale is to never wash your hair while your on your period.I know several people who have tried this including myself....Did it work?It seemed to but it could have just all been in my head. When you have really bad cramps you'll try anything though.Good Luck!
