Definitely Steffi Graf. She was a joy to watch on court. She had
this grace.; was magnanimous in winning and gracious in
defeat. And her footwork! She moved like a gazelle on court.
Chris Evert would be right there with Steffi Graf.

Steffi Graff for sure dominated when on court. She even beat the rising stars (Hingis, Davenport, Venus) during her last year on tour.
She deserves the Kudos, besides she won the Golden Slam in 1988. The four majors and the Gold medal at the Olympics. Who can do that nowdays? No one if you ask me, or maybe Serena Williams had she stayed healthy when she won four in a row, but we'll see when she comes back from injury. Hopefully this time for good!

it depends on the surface you are playing. I agree steffi graf was a classical player on most surfaces. for grass, that is, wimbledon and other fast surfaces, the best argument is martina navratilova, a serve and volley player. few women (or men for that matter) play serve and volley tennis anymore. that skill is becoming a lost art.

definitely has to be SERENA, she was in when everyone was playing well and she still found a way to win. and shes more successful with the fans too
