I always did but I wanted to know what other people think about it...... I feel like we grow as people in so many different ways, we are not even always aware of when we are evolving into better people......

OK... "To clarify mey own beliefs, after having much time to think about the question I posted, the conclusuin I have come up with is as fallows: " I don't think we have a predetermined time to die. " I don't think everything that happens is the will of GOD. It is clearly the will of GOD that some of us fail to repent. I feel that by chance, some of us may fall victim to unfortunate circumstances. I also believe that some of their are forces that also cause suffering to the earth, ie, mankid,. I believe that GOD is Almighty, and vengence belongs to HIM only. I don't believe in astrology, but I believe satan uses this as a tool to confuse people. And blind them from knowing GOD.. " I know and respect that we will all have different beliefs, and I am not pushing mine on anyone. Thank everyone who responded for your view on this..... I am uncertain as to which to choose, so I am going to let other people to decide.. The correct answer is with in your own hearts .........

The opposing views on this are that of Destiny and Free Will. As witnessed by yourself and your contributors most people fall somewhat near the destiny side, believing their life has some undisclosed purpose and that an unseen force is driving them toward this endpoint. Call me contrary, but I largely fall on the free will side. I say largely because I can't deny the combined influence society and genetics has had upon me. And yet in the same breathe I feel quite comfortable stating my life's course has been and continues to be the result of choices I have made.

Not a blade of grass moves without HIS will.
The whole universe is continuously on a motion and relative motion to one another and things are created destroyed recreated . Life and death are part of this theory.Old things decay and disappear and new young things appear and grow. In summer even grass get burnt but when again rain falls they grow from somewhere as if in a magicSimilarly ever so many things are constantly happening changing reappearing but we are able to see some of it but not all of it. What happens deep inside the ocfean or deep inside a vulcano, or in the solar system, are not without a reason and not unrelated.
Same way even whatever happens in our day to day life is for a cause and reason but the connectivity is beyond our comprehension. We see the reason and connection sometimes later on but not always.

Every time you learn from an experience, you grow! If you don't learn the lesson, then it comes back into your life and may be a little harder to go through, until you learn! There is a Power-Intelligence in the Universe that is Pure Love and through its intermediaries watches over us and protects and guides us through life, whether we realize it or not! Be grateful in an attitude of gratitude towards this Power-Intelligence, whatever you choose to call it

Id like to think we have a choice in things because if we don't whats the point in life?
Without the power to change our future we might as well all lie around like vegetables!
I hope that everyone has a chance to better themselves, and not just be satisfied with the hand they are dealt.

I believe everything does happen for a reason. Your this way for one reason or another. Someone or something helped guide you to that direction and you are always learning from others as well as on your own! There has to be a reason why you choose this over that or how you choose this or that. All choices but there are reasons behind those choices and you can't say there is not because you wouldn't have done them!!

This is tough. That would make me think that we have fate instead of free-will and that we have no choice whatsoever in life.
I say that I disagree. There may be a purpose behind everything in life, but if you don't get it, then it is lost to you. Not everyone learns from their mistakes, you know.

yes. Most things happen for a reason. One's character is to some extent his fortune. His personality has something to do with it too. Sometimes the reason more attaches to the city or country we happen to be in or the times. Our heredity accounts for some of it.

Everything happens for a reason.. but what's the point of driving it out of someone if it's something you didn't want to hear in the first place

Not always .I believe sometimes things just happen . We are the ones to assign reasons to them to satisfy our curiosity ( to see pros & cons before jumping to conclusion ) or to pacify ouselves for what we are not able to achieve . Do we apply reasons when things go totally as per our desire.......not really because then there is no reason behind those things but its our intellect .
