I am sick to my stomach when I think about the problems in our world today as a result of greedy people, i.e. opec , techno trash, hd tv, no real support for the hard working familys from government, media trash, infusion of filth everywhere in our media, destruction of family values. " do we need to be so heartless to our kids future?

K let me make it clear for those who didn't understand the question" King" I was talking more about the future than the past in reguards to accountability, if you make a promise and it affects all of those who you made said promise to then why can't we say see ya rite away. I vote every election and never have seen the promises come to light hmmmmm but they get their fat pentions and payouts, so we have to keep up our end because we don't have the choice to say I don't think so.

there is a whole corporate structure built upon us which perpetuates the same system over and over. It doesn't matter which party is in control. The fact is that the politicians have been bought at varying degrees by the corporate world.
when they raise an issue of accountability, they don't really have the political will to see it through... because their deeper personal interests get in the way.

We've let ourselves get lulled into unconciousness as a nation and we've let a mere hundreds of people dictate to us instead of for us. Somewhere along the way our "public servants" convinced us that they knew what was best for us, and that was to let them run things and us to just put them in office and stay out of their way. Now it bites us in the collective behind.
Eventually, if enough Americans wake up and feel the teethmarks, we just might be able to start asking the question, "What can we do to hold our government officials legally accountable for their mistakes?"
