does anyone else ever spontaneously think of someone and then very soon afterwards, run into him/her?

I am a strict skeptic, but It seems that sometimes I will think of someone whom I had all but completely forgotten about ; someone I have not thought of in months. Then I will run into that person soon afterwards. I am a strict skeptic, but it seems so odd to me when it happens. again, I don't believe in such things easily. That is why I am so surprised by this phenomenon. Anyone else have this happen?

While I have encountered things like this and think them "weird," I also think it's a matter of statistics. For example. Consider someone you went to elementary school with and haven't seen or thought of in years. Thus, you are just as likely to think of them as you are to see them, and it just might happen that soon after you think of them you see them. Of course, it doesn't work in the reverse direction - if you see someone you haven't seen/thought of in years, you're not likely to spontaneously think of them afterwards.

It's kind of like the probability of two or more people in a group having the same birthday - it's more likely than you think, and it's all about thorough statisitcs (http://www.pen.k12.va.us/Div/Winchester/jhhs/math/lessons/stat/birthday.html).

All the time. Every living thing on this earth is constantly putting off energy. If you are really in tune with your feelings and are very aware of your environment, you can sense these things. We are all connected on a much higher plane that just physical.

yep! Happend to me the other day, i was visiting my home town, and i was just sitting and thinking of some old friends, and the next day they e-mailed me..they found me on Myspace.com, it was really cool! i missed them! and now were all back 2gether!
