Can anyone tell me what kind of a place Austin Texas is to live in? Want to move and get a new start.?

I have 4 kids ranging in age 2 years to 16. I want a family friendly community with good schools and many activities for kids. It would help to have plenty of resources of used books nearby as I am starting an online bookstore. I am not so much interested in "nightlife", as I prefer to be at home with my kids. Much more interested in "daylife". Any parents, single or married- with opinions about Austin?
