OK well, certainly black and gold are going to be your signature colors, but you could do worse...couple things to ponder? Does your belt have to match the pants? or is it ok if it contrasts as long as it's the right colors? And shoes, do they have to be solid black/brown/white or could it be "Spectator" type shoes, and can you have a low heel? I'm getting you're wanting to make a statement, sooo go either total beatnick/hippie, all black all the time, black ballet slippers, flowy skirt (hippie) or black capris (very thin leg, beatnick) gold short or long sleeve mock turtle (hippie) or long sleeve black turtle (how hot does it get there? you may have to suffer for your Beatnick Fashion statement) You can wear a beret or newspaperboy hat in black on your way to and from school. Then mix it ALL up, go pro male golfer! Get spectator shoes (black/white or brown white) your black capri's with a white belt (whether it needs one or not) with a dress shirt and gold sweater vest (can you do the sweater vest?) wear white tights and get another newspaperboy hat thats has some form of checks or plaid type pattern (you're only wearing to and from school right?) I could go on and on, email me if you want...unless you think my ideas are totally lame...

That sounds pretty strict. Well, to give a little of your own flare, I'd wear bracelets and/ or paint nails, wear your hair in a unique way, you could go punk and wear combat boots or some black chucks ;) Hope this helps. Good luck.

Take a cue from Asian girls. They've been making school uniforms cute for decades, way before it became a priority to us Western gals!!!

I don't think the uniform is supposed to look 'CUTE',
you represent the school etc. - it look is cute because you are in it...
