I sometimes get bored while on the Internet, so that's why I log off. ;-)
But, there's lots you can do. If you like games, then you can play games against others. My favorite sites are http://www.iwin.com and http://www.runescape.com, and there are lots of others.
Forums and chatrooms of your favorite subject. Personally, I like web design forums. Basically, any place where you can interact with other people.
Also, there's always http://www.Dmoz.org . You can help build the largest human-edited directory on the web. Go to their site, pick a subject, your favorite hobby, band, TV show, or whatever it is that you like and click on the become an editor link. It's quite fun I might add, if you enjoy looking at other people's websites.
Listening to music is another thing I used to enjoy. Research. Building a website. Taking different types of fun quizes and tests (like IQ, handwriting, and personality tests). http://www.ivillage.com is but one place that offers fun quizes. http://www.ebaum.com offers brain teasers if that's what you're into.
http://www.Gamehippo.com is a place where you can download free games. No adware, demos, or shareware; just 100% freeware games. Every type of game imaginable and 1,000s to choose from.
Downloading pictures and looking up information on some hottie celeb. Also, if you like humorous sites here is one of my favorites http://www.meanmug.org .
If you are into astrology then there are lots of horoscope, numerology, and eastern astrology sites to help you get a glimpse into your personality, just remember to consider the credibility of the sources before you take it too seriously.
Just think about one of the things that you enjoy doing the most and do a search on it. For me it's talking in forums and playing video games, so that's what I do the most.
