I used to only send/receive handwritten notes as a kid, before the computer revolution. In fact, the first computer letter I received was from my older brother when he was away at college on an early Apple Macintosh. Now it's all email or junkmail
I must admit, I usually send typed and spell-checked letters to folks nowadays, unless they are the woman I am dating.
In that case, I always take the time to put the pen to paper and write neatly printed letters. Email doesn't suffice. A woman can't curl up reading an email.
Also, I am a big fan on sending out handwritten thank you notes for just about anything. They are easy to buy, quick to write, and make an impression on the recipient just for the mere fact that people rarely send them anymore (especially guys!)

I do. I'm in the military and sometimes a hand written letter or card is sooo much more personal than an e-mail or a typed letter. It means a lot to those I love, to take the time out and write something special and meaningful to them and only them.

Why of course I do! My sisters who live in other states, just love it when I send them something from a newspaper clipping with a letter attached or I send a card with a letter (short) written inside and the troops overseas (Iraq) they like letters too. I don't see it as old fashioned, but so many people are just delighted when you think to send them a letter via the phone, internet, etc. They just love it! People love to receive mail through the Post Office, they just love to receive letters!

I mail very few cards these days. Special occasions. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Births, Christmas
My handwriting STINKS. So I try not to WRITE as much.
My Christmas Newsletter is typed. That way everyone can actually READ IT!!!

I do. I love buying stationary and then eventually have to use it if I want to buy more. I hand write it (and rarely type it) and send it to extended family and some friends from college. Postage is getting a bit high but I still do it!

I write handwritten letters on occasion. It's a lot of fun to send and get real mail. I like to use fun stationary.

I do, and I still hand write them. Snail maling nowadays becomes a more thoughtful way of sending messages.

I still write letters by hand, just not as often as I used to. I like hand written letters though, they're more personal

Not EVERYONE uses a computer. We still send birthday greetings, send holiday cards. Some make fancy greeting cards with photographs using their computer. Hand writing or typing--whichever the writer is comfortable with.
