What are your predictions for group E?

Will Team USA and Italy go onto the next round? Will either of them be eliminated? Or will both be eliminated?
Please give your reasons

For me I do not know yet.

To poster baby girl: if you knew this question was regarding group E why the hell did you respond if you are statintg group F???

Italy and Ghana should progress through to the knockout stage. With Ghana winning and next playing USA, they are a strong and fast side. The fact that the USA are now depleted due to 2 red cards already puts them under greater pressure.

Italy are still the class act and I believe they will beat Czechs, there by giving them first in the group.

I believe that Italy have enough quality to go far in the tournament too, so look for them in the quarters and semi finals

I agree that this is kind of over-optimistic on my part, but I think that the Americans would pull off a stunning victory against Ghana - if they can carry on the same gritty determination and spirit they showed against Italy & if they have a sensible referee, I don't see why people should write them off.

In addition to that, my hopes are hinging on the Italians beating the Czechs. Remember that while Italy can afford a draw, the Czechs must win to guarantee progress into next round. But I am hoping the Italians would like to prove a point after their drab performance against USA & with the czechs still "wounded" from their defeat to Ghana.

Let's see what really happens on Thursday!

Ghana and Italy will through to the last 16. I think Italy will beat Czech Republic leaving Ghana to draw against USA. I hope I am wrong.
