Yes and as the Indian economy grows and kids can be rescued from sweatshops and go to school they will play more and devleop skills. I predict that, like Korea India, will devleop as a nation and sport will flourish. I expect to see an Indian in the Premier League within 10 years. Furthmore, if you have any Indian players good enough we would love to see them in England it would be a great boost to British Asians.

The Indian captain, Baichung Bhutia appeared for Bury FC of the English Second Division although I believe he had represented his country sufficient times to earn a work permit.

Good luck with your quest.

I read this yesterday and was quite surprised at his comments, im sure he knows deep down the real reason he wasnt used so much by Rafa and its nothing to do with his nationality! Just wondering if this had been, say an African player saying this, everyone would be shouting about racism?! Just a thought.

There are several asian/indian players already playing in the lower leagues and indeed Michael Chopra has started several times for Newcastle United this year.

Im sure as its popularity increases in Asian countries, you will see more and more players playing professionally.

Yeah, if you're good enough, English clubs will be happy to sign you on - it seems that most people who play in the U.K. actually come from abroad!!!
