.com, .net, and .org are generic top-level domains.

.ca, .us, and .co.uk are country code top-level domaina and are a top-level domains used and reserved for a country or a dependent territory.

.com domains are used to designate commercial entities.

.net domains were initially intended for use by network oriented entities such as Internet service providers.Currently, there are no formal restrictions on who can register a .net domain name. Therefore, while still popular with network operators, it is often treated as a second .com.

.org was one of the original top-level domains, established in January 1985, originally intended for use by organizations that did not meet the requirements for other gTLDs. Now anyone can register a .org domain. .org was the domain commonly recommended for use by individuals, although .name and .info are now alternatives.

.org means organization....it is for NGO's etc

.com is the best. If you are concentrating in providing graphic designing services in UK...then you can opt for .co.uk

You can buy a domain name of .eu,.co.uk etc. There are lots of domain name service providers, contact them, you can offcourse buy .co.uk
