whats she doing on other days? Is there no food at all on the table or just junk food? You can talk to your mum about it, ask her why she isn't cooking more. Maybe you can offer to help her out, share the load. and if all else fails......invite company over every day! ;-)

do you appreciate her cooking or your family?
do you help out go with her shopping or share ideas on cooking?
do you ask for more when she cooks?
though it is mom's responsibility,,still she needs everyone to appreciate her like what guests are doing.
try giving her compliments everytime she cooks and you would see what is the difference you could make to make her better mom when it comes to cooking..

My mom hates cooking and even touching the stove drove her into a frenzy so my siblings and I learned to exist by our own cooking.

I don't cook as often as I used to because my work schedule is too demanding, the kids are often not here when I do cook, and it's too damned hot to turn the stove/oven on.

That's the only way I know company is coming. When the music is playing, candles and incense lit, and she is cooking.

*raises hand* My mom never cooks unless there are guests coming so a lot of our dinners involve instant food.
