It's called a defibrillator.

A defibrillator is a medical device used in the defibrillation of the heart. It consists of a central unit and a set of two electrodes. The central unit provides a source of power and control. The two electrodes are placed directly on or in the patient. The device is designed to deliver an electric shock to the patient, in an effort to stop ventricular fibrillation (heart attack).

A defibilation machine is what you are talking about...

However this does not restart the heart, this is a common misunderstanding that television seems to support. In reality the machine uses an electrical pulse to reset the heart's natural rythym when it is disrupted (the heart is still going, but is not pumping properly.
They DO NOT use it to "restart" the heart, as this is impossible to do except through maually pumping blood atificially then going through surgery.
SO when you see a "flatline" realise that they DO NOT use a defibrillator... this would do absolutely nothing. They only use a defibrilator to return the heart to its normal pulse rate.

blood thinner is not an emergency medication, Oxygen on the other hand is, also drugs to help restart the heart if it stops. some of the blood thinners are so strong that they should only be administered under controlled, monitored conditions, other factors include what other meds the person takes, their age, weight, etc. The job of ambulance workers is to transport the patient to the hospital for more advanced care.

It is called a defibrillator and it sends an electric shock through the heart to "restart" the cardiac dysrhythmia called fibrillation, an unproductive heart rhythm.

defibrolator, but i think you got that from everyone else, but a fun fact about it thought, the newer ones talk to you, so if in need of using one on someone, dont be scared of not fully knowing what to do, just take a deep breath, and listen to the instructions, o and how it works is that it stops the heart becuase when your having a heart attack, your heart is freaking out, so in a weird way its like a smack in the face when your freaking out, it stops you in your tracks and helps you stop for a min, and relize what your doing, aka it stops the heart and lets it start working on its own again, hope i've helped
