actually zidane is getting retired after this world cup. so he wants to make memorable and thus wants to win every match for his team in world cup. so naturally he was upset with the result.

As he received a very stupid second yellow card, he can't play in the next match, which means that if they draw or lose to TOGO, or win but don't get as many goals or more goals than what Switzerland will get today, FRANCE ARE OUT.

Instead of retiring at the peak of his powers, he leaves defeated with the rest of Les Bleus.

Also, the decisions that the Manager has made have been see as, by Zidane, not the best for the french side. For example, Barthez in goal instead of Coppet. Zidane and the manager aren't very close friends at all.

Realistically could have played his final game for France in this World Cup. He may have regretted the fact he came back from retirement to a team which is past its best.
