It seems today that all you see
Is violence in movies and sex on TV
But where are those good old-fashioned values
On which we use to rely?

Lucky there's a Family Guy
Lucky there's a man who, positively can do
All the things that make us laugh and cry
He's our Family Guy!

This is the entire song.

Lois: It seems today
that all you see
is violence in movies and sex on t.v.

Peter: But where are those good old fashion values
All: On which we used to rely!

All: lucky he's a family guy!
lucky he's a man who'll
positivly tell you
all the things that make us
Stewie: laugh and cry!

All: He's--A--Fam'ly--Guy!!!

lol, funny question.

apparently, in the first two seasons, there was controversy within the closed captioning companies about this... sometimes the captions would say "effin cry" and other times they'd say "laugh and cry".

the song was re-recorded in the third season.

it's pretty apparent that he's saying "laugh and cry" NOW, but in the first two seasons...?

I really don't know...
