I've never met or treated anyone with it, but I did read about it in my nursing books. I can't tell ya how common it is..

I have this. So, it is possible. However, I've been told that it's exceptionally uncommon, especially without problems, such as one coming out of the top or bottom. Mine meet in such a way that it looks completely normal, unless you look very closely. It just appears there's one with a small divider, which is visible upon very close examination. An ultrasound by a urologist confirmed that there are two tubes all the way down. The only indication of this, for most of my life, was that very rarely, when urinating, the stream splits and goes in different directions. Usually, the streams just stay together and have the shape of a double helix.
