I admire the performance of the Ozzies yesterday. It was well organized and direct, playing the Brazilians weakness which is the quick counter attack.

Problem is, without taking anything away from the Australians is that Brazil are not even a shadow of what they should be, as far as play is concerned.

From what I saw, Australia played to entirely different Brazil sides. The first was slow and let Australia set up defensively, this of course was with Emerson and Ronaldo. The second was with Robiniho and Fred.

Australia still carved out chances, but once the second team were out, they were suddenly defending more and running a lot harder.

I guess what I'm trying to say is even though the Ozzies played great, I think they won't get out of the first knock out round against Italy. They will qualify if they draw or beat Croatia, but I think that will be the extent of it..

Sorry for the long preamble.

I don't think Brazil is trying that hard. If Ronoldo was in decent shape who knows what the final score would have been. Also, I don't know how mentally tough the Japanese team is, but protecting a one goal lead through most of the game only to lose it in the final minutes is heartbreaking especially coupled with a back breaking second goal moments later. I think Croatia ends Australia's World Cup Experience.

I still don't think they're going to get past the first round, even though they have one win. I think Croatia and Brazil will make it. Croatia was just unlucky in a couple of games. Maybe Australia will get lucky, though. However, I don't think Australia will get past the round of 16, if they do get there.

I hope they are going to go further it all about the last match with Croatia...if they win, they pass...and Italy is not in the best shape...they could have a good chance. But I still think it's going to stop in the last last 16..in the best case...anyway a good performance for them, congratulations!

I think it's a great improvement to 6-0 the last time but I don't think they'll reach far. They play really good football, & should be proud of it, but truthfully they won't reach too far this time, maybe next time around.
