India was partitioned in 1947 on religious lines
so basically, they same people
Language - Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi ... in Pakistan
also in use in India
Religion - Islam
India too has a large Muslim population
Corruption - Pakistan has rampant corruption
so does India
Cricket, Hockey -- most popular sports in both countries
Football - both at bottom of FIFA ratings
Olympics - both abysmally poor
Wealth distribution - equally skewed in both countries
Poverty - both r equally poor
Population Browth Rate - both breed like rabbits
Nuclear weapons - both are nuclear armed
.... list is endless
(but unfortunately - mostly negatives)

Well, the region both countries are from was ruled by the English for a while, and the English invented the English language, which you need to learn better when asking questions, because I'm not really sure what you are getting at.
Otherwise: the two countries share the following:
Similar: food, language, culture, wedding ceremonies, history, water resources, colonial past, atomic future, ethnic groups.
They both were carved out of what was known as India. The decision was political (based on religious considerations) NOT the result of a religious war. Although there was fighting during the partition, it wasn't a war that brought about the split in the first place.
