Open up the computer and double check everything is plugged in securely, especially both sides of the hard drive. IF everything is plugged in right and it still does it, try replacing your hard drive. To make sure it is the HDD try booting up from the CD ROM, if it boots from the CD then it is definitely the HDD

like it wont start up? gotta be a little more specific.....you can try starting in safemode, keep tapping F8 while the system boots, Once in safe mode you can try system restore, or it might be something in your bios settings, Have you messed with them? you can try pressing F1 when the maching starts booting, and open the bios settings, then try the default settings....Have you installed some new hardware? it could be tons of issues, Post again and leave as much info as you can

i think there might be something amiss with your bios settings. here's what you do: just as it boots up press delete or F1 to enter the bios configuration, then load optimal defaults, save then exit. hope that it will help you out.
