Yes and No. Young girls don't really make good decisions when it comes to dating in the real world. And with peoples natural tendency to lie it just gets worse when it's not a face to face thing. They don't seem to wanna face up to that fact that there are predators out there right now. People who are willing to do or say anything.
When my sister was 17 she decided to meet this guy that she met on the internet. He told her that he was 18. Turns out he was really 37. She met him in a teen chatroom.
However my sister met this other guy. She was still 17 and he told her he was 18. I was a little scared for her at first because of the first guy. She came over to my house and had him meet her there. They went out and I worried for her the whole time. Turns out he was really nice. 1 year later they got married. They also met in a teen chatroom and he really was 18.
I think that maybe people should wait until their a little older to date online. Cause when you're younger you tend to be less responsible and let people pressure you into doing stuff that you shouldn't or wouldn't otherwise.

if it's restricted online, sure, why not? it can get out of hand, and still you are in the safety of your own home. But if you decide to meet somewhere after some time of 'dating online', I don't think your age group can tell if someone's a fake, dangerous from someone who's into you for real. At this age, your emotions rule over your HEART and MIND. What you want to believe rules over what your senses tell you. If your senses tell you it is dangerous to meet a stranger (even in a public place), your emotions will take over. It's better to think it over now that you can still think clearly than in a stage when you are in the verge of falling in love for someone you don't really know.

No. First and foremost is the problem of sexual predators. One could be tricked into meeting somewhere and then being abducted/ kidnapped. The second, less important reason has to do with morality. Those who date online just seem like they're desparate and can't get dates in real life.

I personally don't think they should. For that age group theres so much risk, and I know there's a risk for everyone but younger girls are easier to manipulate and some men will do just that. And if you decided to date on-line,never meet anyone by yourself, always take a friend with you and let your parents know where you're going.

No. ANY teen 14 to 16 years of age do NOT carry the common sense or maturity to protect themselves from clever predators.....and do be forewarned: the moment you enter the online scene--the predators will find you.

No, the internet is full of online predators. And even though they could just be talking online with someone their own age, they may end up solicited by someone twice their age in real life.

Absolutely not! It is much to dangerous. You don't know if you are talking to someone your own age, or some old pervert.
