yes, when bogart's movie characters would smoke a cigarette, they would often let it hang on their lips for a long time, not really smoking it, but it would burn up just the same and, in a sense, be wasted. the term was originally applied to toking (smoking a marijuana cigarette) as in "don't bogart that joint" meaning don't waste it, if you're not going to smoke it, give it to me so i can have some, instead of just letting it burn up. i haven't heard it applied to pizza, but the same principle applies, don't hog the whole pizza and let it get cold, pass it to me so i can have some while it's still hot

It MIGHT. Think of Humphrey Bogart, and you think of a guy with a cigarette permanently hanging out of his mouth. Bogart was first used as a verb in the drug-using community. "Don't bogart that joint, man!" meant don't hold that marijuana cigarette that we're passing around so long that nobody else gets a chance at it.
By the way, marijuana use can cause psychosis, I know from experience in my family. So, DON'T BOGART THAT JOINT, MAN!

bogart v 1. to steal or hog. ("Don't bogart my cookies!") Origin: possibly during the 1960s as a drug reference. The band Fraternity of Man has a song called "Don't Bogart Me." Lyrics include: "Don't bogart that joint, my friend, pass it over to me." It has been theorized that the term is an allusion to Humphry Bogart, an American actor who always had a cigarette hanging from his lips. To "bogart" a joint, then, would be letting it hang from one's lips without passing it on.
and here the song...
"Don't Bogart That Joint My Friend," by The Fraternity of Man
was on the Easy Rider Movie Soundtrack:
Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.
Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me.
Roll another one
Just like the other one.
This one's burnt to the end
Come on and be a friend.
Don't bogart that joint, my friend
Pass it over to me......
