There is a belief in reincarnation that is transmigration.
They believe when a person dies, their soul goes into something else, maybe a rat, a mouse, a dog or cat.
They believe it would be wrong to kill mice multiplying all over everything and spreading vermine -- because if they kill a rat, they might be killing their aunt or their father.
They believe that life after death is not in heaven but right here on earth in the form of whatever.They come to believe that filth from vermine requires not so much a cleanup as it requires belief and patience to tolerate dearly departed relatives who come back to them in love.
